dont think it would be a problem to keep the air con although you wouldnt want to load up the compressor too much by increasing the back pressure with loads of pipe. It would need loads more refrigerant as the system would be larger in volume but thats not a major problem

Toyota prius use electric air con compressor but then it has loads of battery power on board and has to run aircon when the engine is not being used. Where did you get the info on parasitic's from? what was you basis for comparison?
