Thanks very much, it makes a bit more sense now. It would appear that the cps tells the ecu crank position/ all timing aspect of the engine. i.e.- injectors/ignition. The phase sensor fills in the gaps telling the ecu where the engine is in sequence. So in theory could you not unplug the phase seńsor once the engine has started as it would already know the sequence.
