Surely though if one pump drops to min fuel pressure then the same happens with two, after all it is about pressure and supply. Could one pump not supply 100% even if one fails?
On the Emtron you have fuel pressure control compensation and protection. Ideally you should have about a 20 to 30% safely margin in fuel supply and not more as all it does is heats the fuel and this can change the afr of the engine. So fuel temp monitoring is a very good and have the ecu compensate for it also.
