Well I've had the Camaro here around 6 weeks, was initially a bit disappointed that the paint job was way nastier than I bargained for and had a sulk for a while but the bonus is that the car is like brand new underneath with no signs of any rust or accident damage, its a very original car but that's about to change!
Like most old yank motors the steering is comedy needing input just to hold it in a straight line, originally I was just going to fit new bushes and shocks and a 12 bolt live rear axle but I've decided it needs to handle properly and with a steering box and 1960's tech suspension it's never going to be great so I'm converting the rear end to independent and have ordered a Detroit Speed front subframe from the states. The rear end will take work to make it fit but was cheap, the front end is the opposite!
E92 V8 M3 rear end complete off ebay
New front end
Also ordered the headers
Its a six week wait for the front end and then its a while on the boat so I'm going to get it MOT'd and registered in the mean time..
RHD headlamps going in
Check the condition of the headlamp panels, 48 yrs old!!
