he says 2 wires on solenoid
1 wire to ignition live
1 wire to earh

you should hear the solenoid click

as for the starter motor he put a new wire from the ignition barrel to the stater solenoid but if u look in your fuse box you can remove the green relay & put a sorting wire across 2 terminals & it works as normal (saves running new wire)
