sometimes i have the same problem with my old fiat.
i always solved it by just moving the car to another pump.
it happens me in more than one gas station.
in those cases the problem is a too sensible pump-gun...
.. and i got the bad habit to stop the car near the faulty ones, already knowing and without thinking.
weird thing is: next car, same faulty pump-gun, no problem. (so my breather may not be working so good too)
