Most business...or anyone who books stuff online, there are no fuel costs to post office etc.

Arrange it online and the item gets picked up at your door, same with almost every business for regular sales.

Of course there is also the huge issue of couriers in general getting shafted too, as customers never want to pay fair prices either. It's a no win situation where usually the courier driver loses out the most, or occasionally the buyer gets overcharged.
