To be fair I have a fiesta too as a cheap runaround and I carry the exact same things in the boot, just in case. Powerpack, socket set and a jack. I don't think it's OTT really as I've left the lights on twice at work in both cars Came out to the car park after a 12 hour shift and battery dead.

Glad to hear you have fixed any mechanical problems you may have had on your Saff, have faith in it and go for a run without your powerpack, jack , socket set etc. There is no reason for it to let you down.
