I don't HAVE to, I CHOOSE to.
There are no problems mechanically now as they're all fixed.
To be fair I have a fiesta too as a cheap runaround and I carry the exact same things in the boot, just in case. Powerpack, socket set and a jack. I don't think it's OTT really as I've left the lights on twice at work in both cars
Came out to the car park after a 12 hour shift and battery dead.
Hopefully won't happen again
