1) There's a couple of guys on the Gtir forum that'll do clutches for you if need be, cheap (ish) and in a day
2) If the fuelling and ignition are spot on you can run over 400bhp on standard internals

(americans claim 500on standard internals

You don't need alot of money to make these fast. 1bar will see 275ish on average and high 12 1/4s. My car only has 246 and will do 13dead
like any car, buy a dog and you'll be cying all the way to the bank, get a good one and you'll be smiling all the way there.
