They only need to be e-marked to be sold for road use. The two are not the same thing.

I was told by a tyre dealer that non E marked track day tyres are going to have "track use only " stamped on the sides. IF that is the case you would look a twat if you were checked by the Police and you said " Oh these tyres are fine for the road " when they can clearly see whats written on them.
