Intermittent misfire Mk6 Fiesta 1.4
Just after a bit of advice...
I know it's very difficult to diagnose a car over the net, or phone etc etc. However I was wondering if a simple fix seems likely.
I have a very odd misfire, sometimes it's there sometimes it's not. You can feel it from 1,500rpm to around 2,500. It bog down, splutter then pop and bang which I can only assume is unburnt fuel.
The car has covered 102,000 miles or thereabouts. The timing belt has been changed, but has caused a complete plethora of issues since it's thrown up an EML once and had it plugged in which showed cam position sensor, but the garage was adamant there was nothing wrong with the sensor (different garage to the one who changed the belt)
The car has always been serviced regularly using good quality or OEM parts. I changed the plugs in feb with NGK items.
I'm hoping it's not going to be anything too expensive, if that's the case think it'll be time to say goodbye and let the car rest in peace.
Thanks for reading and hopefully someone might be able to point me in the right direction.
