I had what I thought was the water pump go on my focus but garage told me it was the spring clip in the end broke in half. Duly replaced and topped back up. Brought it home and bone dry underneath for 24h. I then drove it again and it started seeping water. Have felt around and it feels like its started leaking under the jubilee clip that they replaced.


It feels spongy underneath the clip. Would they have damaged the pipe or would it be already likely weak? How long do pipes last? Car is on 111k/16YO.
