I'm not 100% sure i want to sell this xr4i so just testing the waters to see what else is out there as open to px's for something Ford & interesting
We'll start at the beginning
i bought this car in 2007 from the second owner so i am only the third owner, i restored the bodywork as the white paintwork was a shade of green from being neglected.
It had a full respray in ford diamond white and the body mouldings were all painted matt black
It hasn't been on the road since i bought it and has been stored inside a clean, dry garage for the past 9 years.
The car is showing 68 thousand miles which is genuine
The front bumper and grill are genuine ford items in very good condition, it has brand new koni/spax shocks, avo springs, braided brake lines, new TCA's, front is fully poly bushed, new discs and pads on the front. The front indicators are new. The headlights and fog lights are like new. The front running gear is detailed and all 4 inner arches are painted white.
It has all its original panels, all locks work off 1 key. It has a brand new petrol tank fitted. It had a brand new brown tint windscreen fitted when it was restored and hasn't seen the road since.
The interior is all genuine 3dr cosworth with the rear door cards trimmed to match as the differ from the 3dr cosworth. Also fitted was 3dr cosworth carpet. The front seats are in vgc no rips. It has a 3dr cosworth steering wheel fitted and the holy grail red insert gear knob. It has the ford tool kit in the boot and an excellent parcel shelf. The dash is a later one, due to being badly cracked.
The car has powersteering and electric windows.
The wheels are a brand new set of escort cosworth alloys with nearly new tyres.
Engine bay is detailed with many new parts,
the car has never been used since being restored and i'm too scared to take it out in case i ruin it, so needs to be used. It does need an engine setup as runs a bit rough since i fitted a new fuel filter.
i'm pricing it at £8000 which i know is high but there isn't a bit of rust anywhere, even the front jacking points aren't crushed. It has low miles/owners & i'm not sure i want to sell but will listen to swaps for something interesting. car is currently sorned with no MOT.
