Good to hear. I am torn between close ratios in mine as I love the 2wd option but the simplicity of the oppliger attracts me as it was designed to fit and work.
It is odd that in 2wd it is quieter as the front diff is still turning, albeit with no torque load. It isn't a nasty noise
Just remember a skyline has loads of sound deadning material unlike the pug
we fitted a bmw 1 series box in a 50's merc which sounded noisey.
