I think we are naming parts differently lol your talking about the end of the drive shaft as the stub. I'm talking about the shaft the bearings sit over on the hub as flange as the stub lol
Lol, I agree - we're naming 3 parts here it seems.
Part 1) My Hub Carrier (photo 2) is knackered (bearing is a very loose fit). Need a new Hub Carrier.
Part 2) My Hub (photo 4) allows a new bearing to slide up the shaft 15mm then it will need banging on, which it seems is normal practice and not an issue? My question was asked because 2 places I took it to said that the bearing should not slide on that shaft by hand at all, and that it would be to loose.
Part 3) My Stub (aka Axel Stub) is fine.
