The stub doesn't even go in the bearing. It's the hub that goes in the inside of the bearing. The stub then slides into the splines of the hub.
You have lost me now lol the stub slides up the middle of the bearings. The bearing inner races side over the stub
I think we are naming parts differently lol your talking about the end of the drive shaft as the stub. I'm talking about the shaft the bearings sit over on the hub as flange as the stub lol
