I have had the little red cog with an exclamation mark pop up intermittently on my dash ever since I blocked off the EGR valve on my 1.8TDCI Focus Mk2
It may be totally unrelated to the fitment of the blanking plate as it happened a few weeks after this work was done.
I have a fault code reader and it says no fault codes are recorded. TBH the car drives exactly the same with the light on or off
Any ideas if I should just leave it or get it checked out, the engine management light has never come on.....
