I got this off a fellow fanatic up in Pennsylvania accidentally. I have been looking for a Stoffler rear valance for a few years having run across a familiar conundrum: got money-no part but if you are flatfooted the thing is right there! This time the site in Australia I found a while ago (that had it AND would ship here) was gone when I had the budget back on track.
I got a splitter from the Rieger from this gentleman and he also had this thing for sale. It was meant to be! I like most of the lines on the piece, but I have no desire to run dual tips on mine so the center bit was unnecessary for me. Learning the body repair chemicals to fix the rear the way I wanted has been pretty fun, possibly because I picked an easy project to start with!
The valance
I wanted to get the front fascia supported a little bit better, so I made some brackets with aluminum bar stock. New retainers in the fenders
(Thanks, Internet!)
and the aluminum holding more surface area. I'll really need to screw up for this to go awry.
These bastards took the better part of a week to get finished because the car is spread out at too many places. That, and I don't have a garage at my place I can put shop tools!
