I agree, I think the MK2 is probably a slightly better looking car, and I think the 2.5 engine has a bit more character.

Sadly not had the chance to drive a MK2, but I can't imagine it would hold a candle to the new one in terms of driving. The drive train in the new one just gives it a totally different feel.
