Hi,

I have a 2013 Ford focus ST. I had the following mods Superchips bluefin remap, steeda sound symposer delete blanking plate and custom cold air intake with COBB filter.

Unfortunately one of my pistons (cyl 1) broke around the ringlands. Ford Australia have denied warranty due to the mods.

I have seen a few other owners from other forums that have suffered the same fate, some tuned some stock.

Is anyone from the UK aware of these problems ? (ie piston failure) with the 2.0 ecoboost engine. Several engine builders who i have shown pics of my piston have come to the conclusion that the piston has a weak point ie badly designed.
