I think you will struggle to get 300bhp, You will need to uprate the fuel pump after a remap as they don't flow as much as an ST does, also the inlet and exhaust system is designed with refinement and smoothness in mind, fairly sure they don't have such aggressive cams either.
I was looking at these cars recently, with your points in mind I'm no longer interested in the slightest.
