Can anyone who runs a hydro clutch with master and a slave give me some feedback please?

I'm looking to do the hydro conversion with the slave on the gearbox and I'm getting mixed reviews.

I've sat in a couple and worked the pedal and it feels like it has a 'step' at around 60% travel then goes hard
