Default Testing current/ohms for resistor

In need of some help here!

I need to put a resistor in the seat airbag plug on my car to try and stop the airbag light from flashing as totally confused with what sensor I need as had a few different options but nobody seems to know the exact sensor I need (Airbag flash 51 code on a Mondeo 2003 2.5 V6 which has just had 2006 half leather seats fitted, this is when the airbag light started to flash) I am going to put a resistor in the airbag plug to fool it thus making the airbag light stop flashing! I has a similar problem with a Passat I owned a found out through a friend that it needed a 3.8Ohm resistor, but how do I find out what Ohm resistor I need to put in on my car, anyway I can put my voltmeter and try and check the Ohm output?

Any help would be great
