This thread has been taken the wrong way now, I am with Glenn on this, you are in a scrapyard or breakers surrounded by tons of parts big and small, you find the part you are looking for and stick a couple of nuts and bolts which you may need in your pocket. Come on guys, as I said ,hardly the crime of the century is it. Do you honestly think the scap yard or breakers will be bothered?
I recently went to a very big breakers to get a Front strut and spring and thankfully put some nuts and bolts from the car in my pocket. When I got it home and went to fit it I realised the centre threaded part was a bigger size and the top nut off the old strut was to small. I went through the bits I put in my pocket and bingo the right sized nut was there! Job completed and no, I did not feel guilty!
