have you changed the egr valve and have you had any codes read?

I changed the pump on my st tdci in 2014 after the pump failed, this caused an injector or 2 to stick wide open it nearly hydraulic'd the engine but I switched it off in time!

I had a spare pump that was stripped and cleaned rebuilt by a diesel specialist (I used flavells in Thornaby near me http://www.taflavell.co.uk ) they also lent me the special tool to change the pump this must be used

jack up engine and remove engine mount
remove inlet manifold and egr valve
remove round plastic cover from chain cover
release fuel pipes and wiring from pump
remove rear bracket from pump
crack off 3 bolts from between pulley onto pump(through the round hole)
fit locking tool to front cover
totally undo 3 bolts then remove pump
refit is reverse lol

you must then check the fuel filter for metal particles if metal found then you have to clean out all the fuel inlet pipework (ultrasonic is best)
drain tank then remove tank and fully clean out
refit tank and fit new filter
injectors must then be stripped and cleaned by specialists flavells can do this, they did mine

good luck if doing it yourself I did and it was fine
