Mine was doing the same thing mate, plugged it in and it said egr so bought a new 1 and no change. I decided to go for injectors as they are the same as the 130bhp engine so can be bought cheap which cured the problem.
Got to be worth a go before swapping the pump.

Only thing is mate, i just want it fixed and if i do injectors first and it doesn't sort the problem then I'm going to be digging myself an even deeper hole.
Times like this i wonder why i ever thought of buying a diesel
