Have been looking at Omex 600 and also Mega Squirt.
Some are cheaper than others but all claim they are capable of running an turbocharged engine with the correct sensors.
Also need a reputable tuner in the Yorkshire area that can set the car up when finished.
Do you need to spend thousands on an ECU and loom or will the cheaper items with DIY looms do the same job, as I'm not bothered if I have to get the snips and multimeter out.
The engine is a 1800 zetec silvertop and will live in a MK6 Escort GTI. I am not to fussed about monster BHP, just something that will have the thrill to drive as my lightly modded ERST did.
Any advice on ECU`s would great.
Ask your tuner, there is no point buying an ecu that your chosen tuner is not familiar with.
