Has the reverse gear change quality gradually deteriorated, as it would be unusual to suddenly just fail?
Does it feel like the gear knob is going far enough across the gate for reverse gear and it is just wont engage the syncro, or is the gear knob not going far enough to the right to even try and select reverse?
It has been playing up to get it into reverse for a couple of weeks my Son tells me. All the linkages etc all seem normal as well as the cable part so it is a fault inside the gearbox itself.Hopefully not too much to fix?
