If it hasn't been done already upgrade the brakes before you take it on track. Standard R53 brake set up is not that great at normal road speeds let alone track work.
unless it already has upgraded brakes if it's an official JCW version..
its a real one, and my mate already uprated them to 4 pots and bigger discs, even chucked in a set of coopers s wheels so I can paint them silly colours
, sourcing a cage is in hand and afew more little trinkets and it will be ready
