No nead for a diesel if you are not doing lots of miles but if you must then look at 123d they are twin turbo 200 bhp and not bad for a 4 cylinder DERV and handle well.

I bought one a few months ago 2008 3dr 70k miles £8k -'sold it after a month as I don't like 4 cylinder diesels they sound like tractors.

A 335i twin turbo petrol was the correct answer - same price and 200% nicer car to drive.
