I had mine for 4 years and I loved it, it was running 380 odd when I sold it, they can be driven hard but at the same time are a joy on the motorway just cruising
As for the liners, its a lottery, a tuner I use ha one at the moment that is full mountune that has split a liner and there have been standard cars that have slit liners, the blockmod can help a split liner but ultimately when they've gone its a new block, the symptoms eventually reappear.
My advice is check the engine when its stone cold, your looking for a lumpy idle and lots of white smoke that clears within a few minutes and it will use lots of water and pressurize the header tank over night
