Right i managed to get the new ECU plugged in the car - with no lambda plugged in and it all seemed to run okay so i think it is all okay - i cant get the car out of the garage to properly test if for a while.

So im going to message MSD and see if they can id the new chip,

Also, im sure my old ecu is a L8 - but it has the L1/L6 case? can anyone confirm this from a picture? (white adjuster) - I think i would rather swap the ECU case so i can use the mountings.
