Thanks for everyone's input, I hope to recoup some of the costs of the new ecu and chip, but may keep the old chip for future use - I would be interested to see what it has been set up for, and also it would give me a spare chip that i can modify rather than having to source another! This is defiantly something i would like to have a go at in the future, just at the moment i want to get the car running nice with its current spec and get to a few track days. Also want to make a new loom for the car using some COP coilpacks ive got back home (figured this is a project i can do away from the workshop when i need a car fix! - and more productive than fooking netflix )

Im away from home till next weekend so wont be able to try the new ECU till then, and the fella who i share my lockup with has took his r32 apart in front of the garage door so there wont be any testing for a while, but as long as it all runs and gets up to temperature I think i can presume that there is nothing wrong with the ECU or chip ive bought?
