Bore wash will not cause high idle or knocking/tapping, it would barely idle (low) and stink of fuel along with black smoke, your plugs would also be really black too.
Oil consistency will also not effect idle speed.
TBH it sounds like you need to get it setup somewhere if the fuelling really is that far out.
Thanks for the I for turns out the oil was so heavily flooded with fuel it was act if igniting and back firing through the throttle body it was all covered in black shite, so I cleared it all out changed the oil new metering unit fresh fuel set all the timing up by feel and hear , is absaloutely spot on , put it on a co machine and was just below mot regulations more or less , so when I have finished the car I will take it for a proper set up and dyno
