Hi there! My name is Freddy in South Africa. I own a 2003 1.6 Ford Focus ambiente with about 180000km on the clock. Recently I realized my last spark plugs change was incorrectly done because the spark plugs were a little over tightened. When I tried to remove the spark plugs, it came out with the treads of the engine heads which left the hole for the spark plugs bigger. Therefore the spark plugs does not fit on the hole any more. Now I'm not sure as to what can I do to fix the problem. Do I necessarily need to buy a new engine head or get the same one redone? Or who can reliably fix this problem. I was told this could be fixed by Helicoil but I'm not convinced this could yield positive results.
Please advise.
