In my opinion, ignore the drop height but go for something that rides well.

I've also had Spax and they were harsh and crashy. I believe we've had a run in with gmax before too and they were even worse.

Best combo I've had is my current setup: Koni adjustables with Avo -35mm springs. Wind the Koni's right down to the softest setting. Mine doesn't even look that low, but the Koni's are the key to a comfortable ride.
