Default cvh 1.6 vs SPI 2.0 for mk1 fiesta

So the former ff xflow 1600 expired, would like to yank it and swap in anything that runs and is available readily (usdm)

Transmission is standard mk1 BC 4 speed and I'd like to avoid cutting that will prevent reinstallation of the kent engine so a zetec swap is out despite the availability and general compatibility.

So I'm thinking cvh family? 1.6 swaps in no cutting. What are the differences besides bolt on stuff between that motor and the spi 2.0 liter?

Do things like inlet manifolds and distributors swap across cvh based engines like a sb Chevy? If I could stab a carbed dizzy into a spi motor and run a carb or two (xflow ran dual dcoe 38's) that'd be great.

I'm not tryna hear how that motor sucks, I'm just tryna find a bolt up short term solution til I can get the pushrod mill up again.

Besides, 125 tq sounds like it'll be uber adequate in a stripped mk1 even w 110 HP. The 1600 never put down tq like that despite 15 more HP.

If the split port induction 2000 motor is barking up the wrong tree so be it. Question is then wheres the right tree?
