Default Where does Saftey Module (a.k.a fuel pump relay) get ignition pulses from??

Hi there,
I am wracking me brains with this one, purchased a XR3i MFi Cabriolet and some bozo (previous owner put and ignition live and switch to the pump instead of the relay)
So I took that all away and purchased a second hand original PURPLE fuel pump relay (aka safety module ) and also purchased a Black Lucas aftermarket one, they both work as you can hear them click and prime pump.
I also purchased a Speed sensing module which also hooks up interwires with the fuel pump relay ( some pics below )
I have aslo changed:
Fuel filter
spark plugs
HT leads
oil = filter
K & N airfilter
recon alternator

Once all done I went to fire up car once fired it ran for a couple of mins very roughly wanting to stall then did eventually stall
Now when try to start get a cough of a start then stalls again sounds to me like fuel starvation/cutting off or air in system....?

These systems don't need bleeding do they ( injectors)

What is this device below is it a solenoid valve or similar:

The fuel shut-off valve system is an
economy device whereby air is drawn from
within the air cleaner unit through the shut-off
valve and directed into the ducting chamber
above the air sensor plate causing a
depression. This then causes the sensor plate
to drop which, in turn, shuts off the fuel
supply. The valve is operated by signals from
a coolant temperature sensor and a throttle
position sensor

And Fuel pump relay aka safety module where does it get ignition pulses from?
its purpose
is to shut off the power supply to the fuel
pump should the engine stall or the vehicle be
involved in an accident. The module senses
ignition pulses, and cuts the fuel supply if the
ignition pulses stop

Also is it the ignition Amp as pictured that can cause problems...?
