If the immobiliser hasn't disengaged there would be no fuel and it wouldn't turn over. Presume his coil pack was a good one? When the coil pack goes it can spike the ecu, not that common though.
That's what I was thinking. When I turn the ignition on the immobiliser light goes out as well.
I had a spare coil at home from when I last services the car and have tried that back on the car but still no luck.
Is there a way of testing the crank sensor?
