I bought my blue 42042 tracked crane from smyths toy store,iirc it was around £150.
My 42009 crane like dojj's above was eBay,£110
I have the green recovery truck,that's an excellent build and the gearbox and how it works is brilliant,cheap too,around £60
I have a big motorised tracked excavator,no longer made by lego but you can get them on eBay for between £130 for a built 1 and £400 for a new unopened 1,it also builds into a drot so I may buy another and build that.
I have the big motorised bulldozer,took me a year to win 1 and ended up getting a previously built but stripped/boxed 1 for £150.
Buying built un boxed models doesn't interest me,I'll buy a built but stripped model as long as it's been stripped and bagged,you wouldn't believe people buy them,build them,strip them and sell them on boxed.
I have loads right back to when I was around ten,those are the studded type and fell apart when you played with them,the new sets are miles better in their detail and operation.
