How much power are you running?

Personally if you can avoid using a paddle clutch I would. My car is almost undrivable with a Helix 4 paddle. I can manage but hate the car in traffic. Friends refuse to drive it and my dad when he's around will do so begrudgingly. At a local show a fellow S1 owner wondered how I even drove my car with the clutch after giving it a go (it did raise some laughs though!). Heavy with a biting point smaller than you can imagine (yes, really) sums it up. If riding the clutch the entire car shakes to bits.

A tuner not massively well known in the Ford scene from Brum way tries his utmost to not make people fit paddle clutches or at least fit a hybrid, and that is with people running 250BHP .

With an MTX-75 I'd have thought you would have a bigger selection of clutches for the power you desire, be it organic, heavy duty or even a combination of the 4 paddle centre with a stock pressure plate ; the latter is the setup I plan to go with in mine; It seems to handle the power and give a near normal feel.

OTOH, I reckon the clutch was one of the reasons why my car was sold to me .
