Re: cost... And...?! Thing is, by the time people have spent money on pain in the arse lightweight batteries and getting them to work safely, flappy scratchy Lexan all round, expensive carbon bonnets and tailgates, flappy lightweight door cards, the most lightweight and ridiculously expensive bucket seats they can get hold of (FIA GRP shells are fine!) etc. etc,. they've probably spent 1/2 to 2/3 of what the block would cost anyway. Caddyshack also doesn't look short of a few quid! ; ) I love his car just how it is by the way, none of this is out to "diss", just baffles me the things people get fixated on / distracted by sometimes. All based on the experiences I've had, that's all.
