Not too sure i agree with you on that one, if you visit a lot of the 'rat' scene people are doing the same thing. The caddy has no bolt on tat, it doesn't have a roof rack or stickers which seems to be what everyone else is doing. The only reason it has the rust is because it was there when i bought it.
Ive tried to apply some of the older themes to something a bit newer. Sign writing and patina look. I haven't seen any other caddy vans with wide arches or anything newer trying to sport a worn out older race team livery so don't really think its a copy of what everyone else is doing.
Anyways the topic is stretched tyres so should probably move on with that.
Feel free to discuss this in a separate thread though if you wish. The what is wrong with the VW scene or rat look or similar. I genuinely won't take offense at all as its interesting to hear different view points.
For me its nice to occasionally drive something that im not worried where i leave it, don't have to clean and worry about the winter weather. Everything else i own takes far too much looking after.
