Default Focus Mk2 - throttle dead spot??

Hi

need help please

I have a 2005 Focus 1.6 petrol
it has for some time - years almost had an annoying throttle dead spot
if I let it idle, it will idle at about 800rpm no problem.
Then pressing the throttle very gently and nothing happens, until it reach a point and the revs jumps to 1300 rpm.
There is no way I can hit revs between 800 and 1300 rpm - this area is dead zone.
When at 1300 rpm and releasing the throttle gently it will just drop to idle speed 800 rpm.

This problem is also causing poor drivability in traffic and especially when slowing down without fully releasing the throttle hitting the dead spot at the top of throttle pedal travel - then it jerks a bit.

there is no variation in the fault - it behaves exactly like this on every run.

The MK2 is drive by wire, so following has been tried

New throttle pedal incl. throttle pedal position sensor
New throttle position sensor on the throttle body
New plugs, leads, coil pack

Only thing left I can think of is the throttle body or the throttle body motor.

anyone have experience - I had it a Ford several times who can't find anything wrong with it.

thanks
