Are the discs old? If so they might not be working at their best, and the simplest route might be to replace the standard discs and fit uprated pads, although the pads will be more expensive.

Agreed, the ST170 disc/pad combo is cheaper as you can buy them as a set. Another factor in me choosing the Mondeo calipers is I was struggling to get the ST170 ones
