When did you buy the car?
The laws relating to used cars changed on the 1st of October.
If a car develops a fault in the first 30 days, you are now entitled to a full refund.
If the fault develops after the first month, but before the sixth month, the garage has one chance of doing a repair. If the repair is not satisfactory, then it is a full refund.
