There's paypal fees and eBay fees to come off your total so even if you sell for 2k you may only get 15-1600 in your hand.

If gets damaged in transit, PayPal will refund straight away leaving James the hassle of trying to get compo from courier which I can see bring easy on that sort of money
yes i agree ben ,but the only way i would post it is on a enclosed pallet and would cost about £100 to the uk.

You might reach a wider audience on ebay but you'll be charged to list it, charged for any reserve you put on it, charged 10% final value fee, and then paypal will charge you for receiving money from someone
If you can get 25% more on ebay then go for it
ebay are certainly getting money for old rope theses days mate .im not going down the ebay route as coming from the buyers perspective i would have zero feeback and i have sold lots of bits on here and at least people know i wont rip them off or sell them poor condition parts
