well when i went for a quote on me cabrio with performance direct the fooker laughed at me when i said it was a 300bhp(ish) 1.6 escort tennis cabrio
he asked was is chipped, i said no, its got a new ecu on it, he they said that wont be a problem as its not chipped
yes he laughed and said aslong as theres brake and suspention and ya can get a r/r print to prove its 300bhp, then it will be 1700 quid, he then said even if the dyno print out comes out lower for what ever reason and makes say 215bhp it will still be 1700 quid
i dont think he belived me, he did then say if i fitted a genuine 300bhp 16v zetec engine they cant touch it, can only insure on that policy as long as the cars a 1600 cvh and not chipped and just got a exhaust and filter and noit a over bore then i will be ok
he actually laughed at me for saying a 300bhp cvh
