Reverse lights come on when braking?
When driving back last week someone pulled up next to me and said when I was braking the reverse lights were coming on? James said it would be the earthing point for the rear lights but I don't know where it is? I've looked in the boot and the wires seem to go through the back of the boot and then under the plastic cover by the back doors, but there isn't any earthing points that I can see? When indicating the brake lights do slightly light up as well. I don't know if it related but the rear fog lights don't come on when I press the rear fog light switch. I'm guessing they are the lights closest to the number plate?
I've tried cleaning the connectors for the rear lights and no difference.
When the drivers side indicator is on, the indicator and brake light illuminate completely and the other 2 light up slightly, the passengers side lights light up slightly as well.
When the passenger side indicator is on the indicator light illuminates completely and all the other lights come on slightly.
When the brake is pressed only the reverse lights come on, not the brake lights.
